What is FixNa? +
FixNa is a platform that connects clients who need services (plumbing, electrical work, cleaning, repairs, etc.) with verified workers who can do the job. We provide profiles, job listings, in-app messaging, and reviews β but you handle payment directly with the worker.
Is FixNa free to use? +
Yes! Creating an account, posting jobs, browsing workers, and messaging are all free. We may introduce premium features in the future, but basic platform use will always be free.
How does FixNa make money? +
Currently, FixNa is free to use. In the future, we may introduce optional premium features like boosted job listings, featured worker profiles, or background checks. We will never charge hidden fees.
Do I need to download an app? +
No. FixNa is a web-based platform that works on any device with a browser (phone, tablet, computer). Simply visit our website to get started. A mobile app may be released in the future.
What services can I find on FixNa? +
You can find a wide range of services including:
- Plumbing and electrical work
- Cleaning and housekeeping
- Painting and renovation
- Carpentry and furniture repair
- Tailoring and fashion design
- Photography and videography
- Catering and event planning
- Beauty services (hair, makeup, nails)
- Tutoring and lessons

How do I hire a worker? +
There are two ways:
- Browse Workers: Search for workers by skill or location, view their profiles, and message them directly.
- Post a Job: Create a job listing with your requirements, and workers will contact you.
How do I pay workers? +
You pay workers directly. FixNa does not handle payments. Agree on a payment method (cash, bank transfer, mobile money, etc.) before work begins. Always get a receipt.
What if a worker doesn't show up? +
If a worker doesn't show up or cancels, you can:
- Leave a negative review on their profile
- Report them to FixNa support
- Hire a different worker
We recommend confirming appointments 24 hours before the scheduled time.
What if I'm not satisfied with the work? +
FixNa does not guarantee work quality. If you're unhappy:
- Discuss the issue with the worker first
- Only pay for work completed to your satisfaction
- Leave an honest review to help other clients
- Report serious issues to FixNa support
How do I know if a worker is trustworthy? +
Look for:
- Verified badge: Means the worker has submitted location verification photos
- High ratings: 4+ stars from multiple clients
- Detailed reviews: Read what other clients say
- Complete profile: Photos of past work, detailed bio
- Responsive: Replies to messages quickly
How do I get verified? +
To get verified:
- Complete your worker profile
- Go to your profile settings
- Upload location verification photos (e.g., you holding a sign with your name and date, in front of a recognizable landmark)
- Wait for admin approval (usually 24-48 hours)
Verification helps clients trust you and increases your chances of getting hired.
How do I find jobs? +
There are two ways:
- Browse Jobs: Search approved job listings and message clients directly
- Get Found: Clients searching for workers can find and message you based on your profile
Make sure your profile is complete and up-to-date to increase your visibility.
How do I set my prices? +
You set your own prices. Consider:
- Your skill level and experience
- What other workers charge for similar services
- The complexity and duration of the job
- Materials and travel costs
You can list your rates on your profile or negotiate with each client individually.
What if a client doesn't pay me? +
To protect yourself:
- Agree on payment terms in writing before starting work
- For large jobs, request a deposit upfront
- Don't leave the job site until you're paid
- Provide a receipt for payment
If a client refuses to pay, leave a review and report them to FixNa. We may suspend their account.
How do I get more clients? +
Tips to attract more clients:
- Complete your profile: Add photos, skills, bio, and rates
- Get verified: Verified workers are more trusted
- Upload work samples: Show your past projects
- Respond quickly: Reply to messages within 24 hours
- Get good reviews: Deliver quality work to earn 5-star ratings
- Be professional: Arrive on time, communicate clearly, dress appropriately
Is FixNa safe to use? +
We take safety seriously and provide tools like verification, reviews, and reporting. However, you are responsible for your own safety. Always:
- Meet in public places when possible
- Tell someone where you're going
- Check profiles and reviews before hiring/accepting jobs
- Trust your instincts

How do I report a user? +
To report a user:
- Go to their profile or message thread
- Click the "Report" button
- Select the reason (scam, harassment, fake profile, etc.)
- Provide details and submit
You can also email safety@fixna.ng with details.
What happens when I report someone? +
When you report a user:
- Our admin team reviews the report
- We may request more information from you
- If the report is valid, we may warn, suspend, or ban the user
- Your report is confidential
Can I block someone? +
Yes! You can block any user to prevent them from messaging you or viewing your profile. Go to their profile and click "Block User."
I forgot my password. What do I do? +
On the login page, click "Forgot Password?" and enter your email. We'll send you a password reset link.
How do I delete my account? +
To delete your account:
- Go to Account Settings
- Scroll to "Delete Account"
- Confirm deletion
Or email support@fixna.ng to request account deletion. Note that some data may be retained for legal purposes.
Can I have both a client and worker account? +
Not yet. Currently, you can only register as either a client or worker. In the future, we may allow users to switch roles or have dual accounts.
I'm having technical issues. Who do I contact? +
